Description
Deciduous shrub up to 5 m high in greyish brown bark. Heart shaped leaves, white flowers and black fruits. It has very interesting dead woods. The most common styles are the curved informal upright (Moyogi), slant (Shakan), wind swept (Fukinagashi) and semi-cascade (Han-Kengai).
