Description
Tall and robust deciduous tree that can reach 40 m. The bark is brown-grey, very rough and cracked, although the young branches are smooth and thin. The leaves are simple, asymmetrical, serrated and alternate. The most common styles are broom (Hokidachi) and informal vertical (Moyogi).
