Erect, highly branched ornamental shrub, 20-100 cm tall. Bark of brownish red color, it comes off in elongated fragments. Vegetative leaves shortly petioled, with 3-5 leaflets. Terminal yellow flowers, solitary or in small groups on the foliated branches. They live from the Pyrenees to Great Britain, Iceland and southern Sweden, to the east to Russia and Bulgaria. The most common style is the informal vertical (Moyogi), although it adapts to many others.
