Description

It can reach 30 m in height, straight trunk with smooth bark and ringed reddish hue. Oblong Leaves with a serrated margin. Its white flowers appear before sprouting in bundles of several units that give rise to slightly acidic red-black cherries that can be eaten fresh or canned. The most common styles are broom (Hokidachi) and curved informal upright (Moyogi).
